Small Claims Actions

The Small Claims Division of the District Court (the “Small Claims Division”) handles certain disputes between two or more parties. These cases are decided by a judge in an informal manner. The law and rules regarding the jurisdiction of the Small Claims Division are set forth in: (a) Chapter 633, Hawai‘i Revised Statutes, as amended; and (b) the Rules of the Small Claims Division of the District Courts.
