Eviction from a Home

For a landlord to evict a tenant from private housing, a Section 8 building, or a tenant using a Section 8 voucher, the landlord must follow a formal court process. The landlord must provide written notice and have a lawful reason to evict. Also, the tenant must not have any applicable defenses. Tenants may also raise counterclaims against landlords seeking eviction.
