Housing Assistance and Subsidized Housing

If you are a US citizen and in the low or very low income bracket, you may qualify for housing assistance or subsidized housing. There are three different types of housing assistance: Project-based Section 8, Tenant-based Section 8 and Public Housing. All three programs require proof of income, and will lower your rent payments to a management percentage of your income.
